LEO J. CASTIGLIONI JR. AWARD

Engineering Students

Cranston League for Cranston’s Future (CLCF) would like to honor current or former CLCF participants who have demonstrated civic responsibility, personal integrity, community leadership and volunterism during their high school careers. The Leo J. Castiglioni, Jr.Award is dedicated to the founder of CLCF. It has been established to assist graduating seniors as they make their way into the world after high school. These select graduates may use the funds to help defray the costs of post-high school education or the expenses associated with a job, trade or profession..

Leo J. Castiglioni, Jr. is one of the most honored citizens in Cranston’s history. Leo founded CLCF as a youth sports organization in 1953. He remained an active volunteer and member of the Board of Directors for the next fifty years until his death on July 11, 2002. Tens of thousands of children from Cranston have benefited from his dedication and service to the community.

Cranston residents who are graduating seniors at any public or private high school and who have participated in any CLCF sport or activity may apply for a Castiglioni Award (multiple $1,000 awards for 2024). There are no academic criteria, and future college attendance is not a requirement
